Week 11 Adelaide
Wine tasting in the Clare valley, enjoying staying in one place for a while, catching up with friends, going out to party with wine students, tasting wine at Renee’s vineyard, enjoying fresh food from the Adelaide markets, watching wonderful sunsets.
Week 10 The Nullarbor
Heading across the Nullarbor, leaving Western Australia to enter South Australia, driving on the longest straight road, seeing lots of empty spaces, passing through towns of 10 people, reaching the end of the Nullarbor, visiting Port Augusta, playing with a Pelican at streaky bay, climbing on rock formations, reaching Kimba, the half way point between Perth and Sydney.
Semaine 10 : Nullarbor
Du bitume, des lignes droites de plus de 140km, des stations services espacées de plus de 200km … voilà ce qu'il nous attend en ce début de semaine. Il est préférable d'avoir réviser son véhicule avant de se lancer sur ces 1300km de désert. Fin du Western Australia, début de South Australia, de nouveaux paysages, de nouvelles villes nous attendent, toujours splendides. La vie en van n'est pas si compliqué que cela, vous devriez essayer...
Week 9 The Gold Rush
Playing with Alpaca’s, making friends with kangaroos, being a mummy to baby sheep, getting scared by road trains, seeing our first snake, watching the artic water splashing out of blow holes, enjoying the sun in Esperance, temping numbat’s with a BBQ, visiting the mining hall of fame and the super pit in Kalgoorlie, learning about how the flying doctors save the lives of people that live in remote Australia.
Semaine 9 : des hommes, des docteurs, des camions…
Une semaine au mesures australiennes : des hommes au fond du trou, des docteurs qui s'envolent, des petits vans qui dépassent des camions de plus de 50m de long, des ponts naturelles de plusieurs tonnes, des formations géologiques impressionnantes … et tout plein d'animaux dont des serpents, des lézards à queue courte, des lamas qui partage leur enclos avec des kangourous...
Semaine 8 : De Perth au Danemark
Baby hypo à bien roulé cette semaine de Perth jusqu'au Danemark, peu de van peuvent en dire autant. Notre semaine débute par un dépaysement à la campagne, accompagné par un vrai australien, un pur, un dur, présent dans la région depuis 7 ou 8 générations. Puis la route nous mène vers des contrés plus fraiches où du vin nous attends. De belles balades en perspective et pour finir la semaine : un nouvel océan!
Week 8 Sheep, Yabbi’s and Wine
Visiting a sheering shed, catching yabbi’s in a dam, learning the difference between different types of chickens, staying in a ghost town, tasting wine in the famous Margaret river wine valley, walking along the Cape to Cape track, reaching the southern most point of Australia and getting lost in the middle of the biggest trees in the country near Denmark.
Week 7 First adventures in the van
Learning how to live in our van, making a mistake and letting thousands of mosquitoes into our Baby Hippo, visiting the Pinnacles desert, fighting with flies, seeing our first Kangaroo and Emu in the wild, sleeping on a beach with turquoise water, playing with penguins on Penguin island, heading out into outback alone for the first time.
Semaine 7 : Autour de Perth
Sur la route, c'est sans doute le fait majeur de cette semaine. Notre résidence est désormais un beau petit van et cela va durer un bon moment. Cette semaine nous avons côtoyé des moustiques près de la petite ville de Rockingham, traversé nos premières routes désertes au nord de Perth, croisés nos premiers road train, vu des déserts où poussent des rocher à Pinnacle, dormis sur des plages superbes à Sandy Beach ainsi que dans le bush australien, et photographié des pingouins à … Pingouin Islande … forcément. On peut dire que la semaine est chargée.
Week 6 Perth & Searching for a van
Getting used to the Australian accent, visiting the city of Perth. Playing with animals at the Zoo, trying our luck at a musical quiz down at our local pub, enjoying the little creatures’ pub in Fremantle, seeing hundreds of parrots in the trees near Cottsloe beach, sleeping in our baby hippo for the first time.
